Cast six lines with the traditional three-coin method, then read the primary hexagram and the direction of change.
Faça uma pergunta aberta, forme seis linhas e leia o hexagrama principal junto com a mudanca.
Ask about a situation, path, or decision instead of demanding a simple yes-or-no answer. The I Ching responds best when the question is open enough to reveal movement. Each throw of the coins creates one line, and six lines build the hexagram from the bottom upward. When a line changes, the reading also points to a second hexagram that shows where the situation may be heading.
A value of 7 or 8 gives you a stable line. A value of 6 or 9 creates a moving line, which means the situation is not fixed. The primary hexagram describes the present pattern. The relating hexagram shows what emerges if the current movement continues. Read both together: the first names the condition, the second names the direction.
